Another name for Johann was Zellhoefer, George Jacob.
User ID: OAB 1497.
Research Notes:
All the children and birthdates are of record in the evangelical church at Obernzenn. The name is clearly Johann Joseph, and so from here on the name "George Jacob" as found in the "GGZ autobiography" must be only an "AKA" - Sorry, Anne Z!
the farm Brachbach7 to Johann Joseph in 1806, and following his death in 1838 was sold to Ursula Barbara LEOPOLD, a LANDSHUTER descendant & half-2nd cousin once removed. According to source GGZ, the farm was not sold until just prior to his widow & family migrating in 1846, so perhaps they remained on the farm until then?
Noted events:
• Occupation: Burgermeister ?, 1808, Brachbach, Obernzenn, NEA. from baptism sheet for Georg Friederick; hart to decipher
• Occupation: ?al?bauer = something-farmer, 1810, Brachbach, Obernzenn, NEA.
• Occupation: Bauermann = farmer, 1818, Brachbach, Obernzenn, NEA.
Johann married Anna Margaretha Hofmann-[1679] [MRIN: 452], daughter of Melchoir Hofmann-[2488] and Anna Sophia Penitsch-[2489], on 20 May 1806 in Obernzenn, NEA.1 (Anna Margaretha Hofmann-[1679] was born on 5 Mar 1784 in Buchheim, NEA, christened in Bergbernheim, NEA, died on 7 Jan 1847 in Sullivan Twp, Jeff Co WI and was buried on 11 Jan 1847 in Riverview West, Rome.)
Marriage Notes:
As Buchheim is about 20 km from Brachbach & apparently served by a different church, it's curious just how this couple might have met and gotten together!
